Refund Policy

By making an order for any Products and/or Confectionery on our website, you (or the "Customer") agree that you consent to such provisions governed by our Privacy Policy [please provide link to the preceding two words], our orders policy, and to our refunds policy as noted below ("Refunds Policy");

1 For orders of Products and non-customised Confectionery
1.1 Orders can only be cancelled at least three (3) days before the selected date for collection or delivery. 
 
1.2 The customer must call Chef Yamashita at +65 6604 9709 to express his or her intentions to cancel the order. 

1.3 Upon the acknowledgement of the cancellation of such order, the customer can elect to either get a refund for the amount paid, subject to Clause 1.4, or to get an Exchange for another Product, up to such value that was paid, subject to Clause 1.5. 

1.4 In the event the customer elects to have a refund, the amount refunded will be the amount paid less such transactional fees or delivery fees that may be incurred if the customer paid by credit card, or such other payment intermediary. 

1.5 In the event the customer elects to get exchange, the Products and/or Confectionery to be exchanged shall be up to such amount that was paid initially and in the event such value of the Products and/or Confectionery to be exchanged exceeds such amount that was paid initially, the client would have to make additional payments to cover the difference. No refunds shall be made on any amounts in the event the value of the Products and/or Confectionery to be exchanged is lesser than such amount that was paid initially
 
1.6 Notwithstanding the foregoing, Clause 1.1 and such other laws that may provide for otherwise, orders for some Products may not be cancelled and these will be stated as such in the Product page.

2 For orders of Customised Confectionery
2.1 As Customised Confectionery are produced under the direction of the customer and only for the customer, orders of such Customised Confectionery shall not be cancelled, and this will be stated as such in the Product page.

2.2 For the purposes of this Clause 2, Customised means any order that has been made under the directions of the customer and Chef Yamashita would not have undertaken to make such order if not for the request of the customer. 
 
 
Definitions
For the purposes of this Refunds Policy;

Confectionery means, inter alia, whole and sliced cakes, chiffon cakes, tea cakes, seasonal cakes, cookies and such other confectionery that may or may not be produced by Chef Yamashita.

Products means such other products that Chef Yamashita has for sale at the shop or the online shop, and does not include Confectionery.

Chef Yamashita reserves all rights to amend the Refunds Policy and such other policies that govern the use of this website without any notice.
